This card is a "Tribute to Faith" and my entry for the Thursday "Ways to Use It" Challenge and well as today's "Inspiration Challenge". The computer was the "way" to use it in Thursday's challenge and the inspiration in today's challenge was a photo of a beautiful Double Irish Chain Shamrock Quilt.
The stamp image in this card comes from the "Mice Messages" set. I first stamped the mouse, then scanned it into my computer. In a drawing program I created the "Faith Dotted" green border for the card, as well as the green shamrock and resized the mouse larger than the original size. I also erased all the confetti and the words "Celebrate" that were surrounding the mouse on the original stamp in the drawing program. I then printed out the border, the shamrock and the mouse.
The background of the card comes from the Cuttlebug Traffic Jam embossing folder. The squraes in the design reminded me of the quilt, but in an offbeat, fun way. I prismacolored with gamsol the centers of each Traffic Jam square green. I colored the mouse using prismacolors and gamsol magic. I cut out the enlarged mouse and placed him on top of a white cricle, cut by using the Marvy Mega Circle Punch, then placed that on top of a dark green circle, cut by using the Mega Giga Scallop Circle Punch, decorating the scallops with white gel "Faith Dots". I cut out the shamrock and decorated with black gel "Faith Dots".
I stamped a Colormates Spring Green rectangle with the "Great Day" sentiment from Stampendous, tucking it under the mouse's tummy and decorating the rectangle with black "Faith Dots". I hand scripted the "wishing you a" in black gel ink. I finished off the card with light green "Faith Dotted" grosgrain ribbon and dark green plaid organza ribbon edged in gold.
Faith's cards always inspire me..."What do you think?"
