This card is for a double challenge, the Limited Supply Challenge for yesterday - One Family, and today's Inspiration Challenge. I chose to use the Pink and greens from the Pink Lotus Pond fabric. For the limited supply challenge, we were limited to one color family (Bold Brights was my choice) and the recommendation was to try for two colors, plus a neutral white. My two colors are Pink Passion and Green Galore. I stamped the images with black ink and used both pads and blender pens and markers to get the contrast I wanted to mimic the fabric. I used just the one stamp set. The grass is made from the stem and the ladybug is from a part of the flower on the heart stamp with the antenna and flight path drawn in with a black marker. My embellishments were eyelets and ribbon, though I did also add a little glitter to the flower stamens and ladybugs. It is good to occassionally go back to a beginners mind set, where we don't have shelves full of stamps and supplies. The limited supply challenge is good for this. It is still more than possible to create cards that POP!

What a cheery, bright card! I love it! Makes me think of spring! I love this new hostess set ... and although I have seen a lot of awesome cards in the gallery made with this set, this is just so different from everything I've seen ... its very refreshing!
