I kept her basic layout, but changed the stamps and colors and used a paper ribbon band.
The image was done with sort of a combo of embossing resist and batik. It was stamped onto to watercolor paper with white ink and clear embossed. Then I wet the entire piece and floated in various colors of Adirondack reinkers. I placed some blank newsprint paper on top and ironed. This dries the project and also removes the embossing powder. I wouldn't use a good iron for this and if you try it, don't move the paper while ironing as the ep will transfer to other areas.
The left two corners were punched on the burgundy c/s then run thru the crimper as were the horizontal band pieces. A torn piece of the watercolor paper is the top layer of the band, The buckle is a die cut. TFL

I love the batik technique, but have never tried it with water color paper ... and I can certainly see it is time to try ... this is amazing ... I love it!

Wow! Is the beautiful or what? I just accidentally ran across it and I'm glad I did. What a marvelous card. Sounds like loads of work, but what a result!!!
