Here it is: my first uploaded card! IRL this card looks like everything has been cut out and mounted with dimensionals. I am so happy with how it turned out. Thank you to all who have shared their designs here on SCS and inspired me in creating this card. And especially Robin for her card: Pumpkin Patch by stampinfool2003 at Splitcoaststampers
After coloring and cutting out the large pumpkin and gourd, I turned them over on my coluzzle mat and rubbed them with my fingernail to "emboss" some curves and add texture to them and then mounted them with the foam dimensionals. The leaves were stamped on Old Olive CS, cut out and the edges curled.
However when I was in the process of trying to decide where to attach the large pumpkin, leaves, and gourd, I realized that with all their texture that they made the little pumpkins and acorns look so "flat" and lifeless. Therefore to add more depth, I used Old Olive as a watercolor shadow along the top-outside of the smaller pumpkins and Close to Cocoa along the bottom of them. I also used Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun to watercolor between the acorns.
My DD tells me to Keep it Simple. But that "Compusive Detail Bug" had bitten me once again and I couldn't stop. I dug out my sponges and sponged Summer Sun above the pumpkins, Old Olive along the bottom and Close to Cocoa along the whole edge of the circle. To add some balance to the card since the pumpkins had been stamped with Basic Black ink, I used Chocolate Chip CS to mat the circle. Well after all of that, having a plain Pumpkin Pie CS for the background just wouldn't do. Therefore I used Close to Cocoa ink, the Weathered BG stamp, Baroque Motifs, and some brads to add the finishing touches. Thanks for looking.
