For Ways To Use It Challenge WT131 - to use some type of spirals on our design!
For my card, I had to try another one of these 'Slit Flower Frames'!!
I started with a 4.5 inch square and cut out a 2.5 inch circle. Then I used the slit punch and spaced 8 slits evenly around the opening. Next, I spaced 8 more slits a little further out and between the first 8 slits. Petals were bent up a bit and then colored with ink spots dtp. Ink distressed the edge of circle opening and drew faux stitches around the opening.
The leaves are two sizes of SU Ovals, with the large one cut in half. Drew the veins with a marker, bent them up a bit and then tucked them under the flower petals. Used a gel pen to draw the corner dots.
Hedgie image was stamped with StazOn timber brown and colored with Sharpie Markers. Sponged on the color for the sky and grass.
For my spirals, I used really narrow strips of card stock that I curled into a tight ball and then released. Then I glued the ends together and tucked them under one of the flower petals.

Simply wonderful card! tfs this with us - I love your slit punch flower frame - can only imagine the ink I'd have everywhere if I tried inking up the edges of those little 'petals'! Great card!
