This card is for the color challenge today: use brocade blue, really rust and marigold morning (or so saffron). Well, this WAS a challenge.
I started out with these colors and had which could probably be called the ugliest card EVER! But I kept working with it until I added more details and depth and got it to a point where I was happy.
The bg was made by using a square punch and lining them up on the rust paper (probably my first mistake)...then I put crystal effects on it.
The flower is cut out...and layered with dimensionals...the center of the flower has clear glitter on it...not to visible on scan but looks neat irl! I punched the scalloped bg and peirced around the scallops and put it on dimensionals too. I used chocolate grosgrain ribbon for the stem and didnt bother with leaves to not get off track of the focal colors. I used an s clip to attach the sentiment...Love how that turned out.
Thanks for looking, I am still shocked that I got something out of what this card started off looking like. Lol!

See? Just goes to show -- never give up!! Keep this as an example to show your kids the next time they want to quit because something seems hard. This is splendid!
