This card is for yesterday's sketch, and that needs some explaining, and for today's challenge to use a sponge in your work. That's easy, my pink DP was sponged on the edges -- nothing too exciting, but it's there!
As for the sketch -- this started as a standard sized card but, as with so much of what I do, it ended up square. The lavendar panel is the piece 1 to the sketch. Then the sketch is flipped on its side (lengthwise rather than horizontal). The piece 2 to the sketch is the white panel with the DP and ribbon on top of it. The main image, or piece 3 to the skech, is the sucker. Then I just put all of that onto a 5.5" square pink card, added a bit more DP and that little Very Punny panel, and called it quits.
The sucker was fun to do. It is chipboard from On Board Accents. I first painted it white with acrylic paint. All of those circles of color are embossed. When that was done, the entire works was then embossed with Glassy Glaze Enamel. This sucker is so shiny and smooth IRL. I just want to keep running my fingers over it!!! Not my tongue, just my fingers!!!
I still think this card lacks in the upper right corner. I think I'll add some little pastel brads up there before I use it. Once the photo is done, I'm not going to re-photo it. Thanks for looking!
The bummer is, I needed a boys card and look what I ended up with -- oh well, try again!!!
Editing: OK, I *fixed* the card and am uploading a new photo. I added the ribbon across the top along with the yellow oval punched tag, the yellow brads in the lower left corner, and the *love* charm on the sucker stick. Now I feel better -- it's *finished*. Good lesson learned -- don't make and upload cards at 3:00 a.m.!!!
