I'm excited to share that I made my first card after months of not crafting. The card was not for the daily challenge, as I made the card first, but luckily the challenge gives me an excuse to post as it meets the criteria for the daily challenge.
Let me warn you that this card is emotional. It is inspired by an iconically dark episode of the tv series, The Walking Dead. If you haven't seen it, I wouldn't recommend watching it, as it can be a lot much. But if you're familiar with the episode, I think you'll be impressed by the card's impact. To me, this is an unsettling, effective card, to the extent that I am hesitant to post it, but I'm amazed at the storytelling emotion that this portrays.
To create the image, I used midjourney and added splatter effects with distress oxide sprays to make it more dramatic. I also darkened the edges with Black Soot to add some more depth.
To be honest, I was initially intimidated by the idea of making a card again. I went for something that's not very technically challenging. I felt very discombobulated as i looked around the house for where i put the glue, only to find out that it had dried up in the nozzle.
On another note, I've been busy with casino dealer school since the start of the year. It's been intense and requires constant practice, which explains my absence from crafting and life. But I'm excited to share that my hard work has paid off, and I've been hired at Live! Casino in Baltimore. I'm starting in a couple of weeks, and I'm hopeful that I'll be able to return to a more relaxed schedule soon.

Congrats on finishing school and good luck with the new job. It's great to see you back here in the Galleries and I must say you came back with a big bang! I have not seen the series, but still find this emotionally compelling as I initially thought about all the armed conflicts around the globe. I love that art, especially our card art, can speak and evoke strong emotions -- even the sadder ones. This card is stunning.
