It hit be because of the blue sky and landscape which reminded me of a picture my DD posted of my 7-year-old grandson who is on a duck hunting trip on Arkansas this weekend.
I got a crazy idea to paint the picture. I don't do people very well and have no idea what possessed me be brave, but I like how it came out and I am giving it to him the minute he gets home today.
This hunting trip has been an adventure. He got to walk on frozen water, play in the snow, and hunt ducks with his father and his cousin.
I changed the scene, tore my edges, added a sentiment, and eliminated the red border. I did keep the blue sky, snow, and dotted base panel.
Congrats to you, Cindy. Enjoy your week and have a fun time seeing how you inspire others.

You created an amazing scene! You're such a talented painter, this came out beautifully! I love how the torn edges look against the embossed panel, too. This is just too wonderful for words! Beautifully done!

Wow, I am so impressed with your talents in water coloring and taking on a human figure. I have not been so brave to try that. What an excellent job you did!!

Amazing! The scene is masculine, beautifully colored, and the BG colors/shading are all fantastic. I'm impressed with your painting ability.
Love the framing and EF...
