We are throwing a Garden Party for Francesca who is turning 75 this month. She also loves Elvis among other things.
My favorite "Elvis Era" were his movies. I know they were all the same in just different locations, but I still enjoyed them. And when I saw today's Tea Party write-up, Blue Hawaii jumped right into my thoughts.
This is my only Elvis stamp and I couldn't figure out how to put a lei on him; so I put a garland of bright tropical blooms around the card instead.
I checked out the Gallery before posting today and noticed that several guests have invited Elvis to this party and some others have included music in theirs. I can't think of a much better way to enjoy the day than listening to your favorite music in the garden. I hope Francesca enjoys hers. I hope you're enjoying your favorite music too; maybe in your craft room -- another great place to listen to tunes. TFL.

This is fabulous Debbie. I remember seeing Blue Hawaii and movies were only 25 cents then! Your "lei" is spectacular and in such tropical colors, I am swooning, so Francesca will too. I enjoyed listening to Van Morrison on my drive today! (to pick up some craft supplies-shhh! don't tell anyone, lol)

Wow, Debbie, this is a beautiful card! The tropical flowers just gorgeous with the pretty frame and that sure is a great Elvis image. I remember watching Elvis movies with my Mum & sister when I was young.

Wonderful Elvis image and card, Debbie. This will be loved for sure.
I loved those movies too - watched them over and over and really only focused on how fab he was. Watched one the other day and realized the world has changed so much in how it treats women from back then. I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes without rolling my eyes. He was still fab though. Hugz

Wow! This is such a fun and beautiful design! First of all those flowers are so bright and cheerful looking! I love these flowers in my garden and sad they're about done blooming. Such a clever idea to add that image of Elvis in there for her! She'll love it!
