Chris is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a trio of bright In-Colors to play with: Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, and Orchid Oasis. Goodness, they are bright! The dessert option this week is "birthday."
This is my second attempt at this card! LOL! You know about trying to see a polar bear in a snowstorm? I put my white die-cut on a white sticky board for stenciling. I thought I had the stencil lined up, but I really could not see the edge of the white die-cut on the white board--total disaster, even after I tried a couple of "hacks" to resurrect it. Nope!
Second try, temporary tape on a piece of colored paper. Much better! First step, I stenciled the Tahitian Tide flowers. Then, without removing that stencil, I laid the polka-dot stencil on top, and inked through the dots with Orchid Oasis. Added the other colors with the remaining stencils, added a few enamel dots, and stamped the greeting.
Stencils are certainly the "In" thing these days, aren't they?
Come join us in the Color Challenge this week, and make a bright and cheerful birthday card! Thanks for taking a peek at my card!
