Color Challenge hosted by Mary. Her colors are Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie and Balmy Blue with the dessert option to use 1-2 additional colors.
When I saw the colors, I thought of the Rain or Shine paper and the coordinating Paper Pumpkin kit. I was hopefully the colors in these products were the challenge colors. Close but not quite. However with the dessert option, I could include the Old Olive (bunny coat) and the Flirty Flamingo (bunny & cloud highlights). The Balmy Blue gingham peek-a-boo card came from the PP kit. The border & rainy background on the inside are Smokey Slate which is a neutral.
My card is for our DD who thinks a rainy day is a happy day. She loves to go out in the rain and dance around. This bunny reminded me of her. I thought to fussy cut the bunny, but I didn't want to lose the raindrops and puddle. So I cut around the drops and ears. The flowers were stamped, colored and die-cut. To color the flowers, I used the Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and a dessert color, Flirty Flamingo. Put some Balmy Blue rainclouds at the top and stamped the perfect sentiment for our daughter - Oh Happy Day. Inside, I stamped Rainy Days are better with you. Final touches were the raindrops, rhinestones on the flower centers and Wink of Stella on the clouds.
This was a super fun card to make with these wonderful colors. I hope to see your creative ideas. What colors will you pick for dessert? Have fun! TFL

Brings a smile to all! The puddle-dancing bunny is the cutest. Sure to be loved by your daughter. The flowers, the clouds, and the rain all add up to fun...
