This week we are sending a Tea Party to Marla who is recovering from surgery and needs a bit of cheer. She loves the beach so our hostess, Pat, challenged us to include one. Mine is at the bottom of the ocean.
To start the card, I ink blended and stenciled one white panel with the aqua DOXs and then ink blended another white panel with the bluer DOXs without the stencil. I die cut both panels with the MFT die and reassembled using pieces from both. It was one of those days....the top got a bit messed up from the glue, so I layered the second frame over the reassembled panel up side down. I love all the extra waves that creates. Unfortunately, I messed up the top again with glue (DOX does not like glue) so the sea gulls decided to join this party. The rest is just stamp, color, die cut and glue.
I do love the happy look on this whale and I hope Marla does too. Since she loves seashells I made sure to include several at the bottom. I hope the cards speeding her way will bring her some cheer and a lot of smiles. Hope your day is filled with cheer as well and that you aren't having one of "those" days. TFL.

My type of card, and I am sure Marla will love it too. The coral and shell sea bed is fantastic. The whale is delightful, and I especially like the flight of seagulls overhead.

Great job creating the waves in your background! I thought it was an embossing folder when I first saw it! I love this happy whale and the great scene you made on the ocean floor.

He sure is a happy looking whale with his seagull friends! I'd never think you had any trouble with your glue on this fabulous card. I love the look of the extra waves from the layering of the die cut!
