For our tickle this month we are illustrating our favorite treats to have with tea (or not). Our family loves almond poppy seed bread. It's a recipe I got many years ago from a coworker who brought it to a potluck. It has a yummy glaze on it..the secret ingredient for that is orange juice...it doesn't give it a real orange-y taste but more of a citrus flavor. So I added some black dots to the embossed dotted bg to mimic the poppy seeds. ;)

The black dots are a great take on poppyseed. I like the flavour, and I think I've done a glaze like that with orange juice. I think your cup is beautiful, I'd like one like that. No, hang on, I like big mugs!! But I do think it's beautiful.

Ohh, Lemon, almonds and poppy seeds in a bread - could possibly be considered an almost Healthy sweet treat but somehow, I'm betting the glaze negates that - LOL. Love the seed embellished lemony bg - The dotted swiss EF was a genius move for this!

What an interesting pattern on the teacup and saucer, and colored so nicely! And it looks lovely over that doily and against your lemon poppyseed background. Very nicely done!
