I'm happy to be hosting today's TLC-an SCS tutorial called acrylic smash. It's fast and fun, just a little drying time.
Instead of a diecut like the tutorial, I used a large background stamp I hadn't used yet. Lots of hydrangea! I stamped that large acetate with Stazon and the circle acetate with Versamark and gold ep. Be careful heat embossing on acetate...a hot gun continually moving usually works. The acrylic paint between the acetate and the paper behind acts as an adhesive as it dries...pretty cool, huh?! I used two colors of paint behind the large panel, just one behind the circle. I love large statement backgrounds so all I needed was a sentiment and some Liquid Pearls. I love the SU smoky slate color for a base; I feel like it goes with a lot. I hope you give this oldie but goodie a try.
