I didn't have time over the weekend to try out my suggestion of using an embossing folder to create texture under tissue for the TLC, so this was my chance. I used the TH Mechanics ef. I coloured my tissue paper with Victorian Velvet, Antique Linen and Hickory Smoke DOX pressed onto a glass mat and misted. When it was dry, I stamped it with a text stamp, crumpled it up a bit and used gel medium to stick it to my piece of embossed card. When dry, I rubbed a bit with some craft-t rub-ons, and then used Archival Inks to highlight the embossing.
I used Loads of Love with dogs in the trunk, and Shore Thing for the dirt foreground. I made a lift-the-flap card and added a sentiment underneath - see other photo.
S - sentiment, stitched square
M - mixed media
I - assorted inks
L - lift the flap, loads of love
E - embossing, envelope, eyelets

What a wonderful card for Rex! He's going to love it. I'm sure it will bring back many happy memories! Your ef background is so cool...I'm going to have to try that technique! FABULOUS! Thanks so much Sabrina!

Gorgeous background!! I'll bet the pups in the back of the truck will trigger some fun memories for Rex from his farmer days.

Sabrina, I just love the truck with the dogs in the back. That is where dogs rode in those days. You surely captured the feeling I'm sure Rex had in those days.
