Thrilled to see that Debbie is recognized as FS today. I like having an identity with the FS and even though her gallery is still growing, I enjoy her comments on my work and her commitment to the challenges. Makes me want to CASE her even more. This is what I chose, I had FAVEd it: CAS582 This Old Chair by DebbieinOC at Splitcoaststampers
Because of one4joy, I have purchased 'furniture' stamps. I always love when she uses furniture and makes a 'room' of sorts. I haven't used these stamps in quite a while but when I saw that card of Debbie's, it really spoke to me. I think about people in this country and world who don't even have a chair that they can call their own. I think about how my chairs have been empty of friends this past year (!!!!!). I think about how much I love the homes I've had, whether owned or rented, and how I like to make them my nest and a place of comfort. I think about how much I long to be with people but I'm too leery so I say 'no' to any invitation. Almost all of my good friend's family have had Covid since Christmas. They are busy people, like to be out and about, volunteering to help, but obviously, somehow and somewhere, it bit them. Fortunately all fairly mild cases (even her 90 something year old parents!!) but still......I'm so torn. Like Debbie's card, I dream of a day when I can say 'yes', wholeheartedly and with no concern. I dream of a day when we all will have a warm place with a comfortable chair. Maybe some will say I'm living in fear; I'm not. I'm living in caution and care for others. I don't want to look back and wish I had done otherwise. Pull up a chair!

As DebbieOC says and from one huddler to another, my husband and I have been huddling for so long we've forgotten how to think about getting out!
I love your Thoreau quote and your sentiment, but I love more your layout composition! It is awesome! The vintage sepia look is perfect with that chair stamp...makes your card it seem timeless!
