Here is my entry for this week's Alphabet challenge letter D for dark. My dark is provided by the Night of Navy cs. This is also my entry for this week's Ways to Use It Let's Get Spooked challenge - but I'm sticking with Christmas card themes.
I smooshed Versamark ink through the stencil to cover the Night of Navy cs and heat embossed gold embossing powder on it. Then I shifted the stencil slightly and blended white craft ink through the stencil to create the ghosting effect. I loved the result, now what to do to finish the card?
I decided to heat emboss the star from Bright and Beautiful using the same gold embossing powder and die cut it. I die cut the sentiment three times and glued them together, purposefully placing the Night of Navy off just a bit to create a shadow effect. One of the things I really like about the design of this sentiment is that the tittle for the i attached so no searching for that little thing!
I adhered the Night of Navy panel to a champagne gold panel and attached that to my white card base. I did pop the star up with dimensionals and then glued the sentiment to the star.
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

FABULOUS background....love the heat embossed stencil shift...so eye-appealing! Your star and layered die-cut sentiment are perfect with that background!
