Angie's challenge this week is to do wet on wet watercoloring. This is a challenge for me. I have been practicing and really not liking anything I've done. Will keep trying. This will have to do for today. Sketched the envelope and flowers, and did the wet on wet painting. Added splatters and gold ink. Finished by doodling with the micron pen. TFL

I understand your frustration, but what you have created, to me looks really lovely! I cannot imagine painting wet on wet, but I have done almost nothing in watercoloring, and I know that often it's suggested to let the area adjacent to dry before moving on...I want to try doing very basic watercolor painting. What you create is a completely different art form, and I look forward to what others you create, especially when you are happy with it, because I know that it will be amazing. Those gold splatters are great, they add flecks of gold all over this piece of art. I just noticed that your flecks are also in pink, beautiful as these flecks pull color from some of your flowers. Your sentiment has just the right touch of casual, really a special piece, I think.
Thank you so much for leaving comments on my hand-stitched cards. I am thrilled to receive comments from any of the wonderful artists from SCS, but to receive comments from someone whose artwork I admire so much means SO very much to me. You have truly made my day and you have lifted my heart!
Blessings to you, I think that this floral painting is stunningly beautiful, and I can only imagine what an art piece that you ARE happy with will likely completely blow my mind!!!

Oh my goodness - sketching your own pictures, too . . .please don't let this be a challenge for a long, long time . . . I actually have a stamp that looks alot like this (albeit much smaller) and you did a marvelous job of getting those flowers to bloom right out of the envelope. I am particularly attracted to those violet ones and the way you got the stems attached.

Wow, really gorgeous work...love the "scene" you created! The design is fantastic as well as the spattering. You drew this...I'm in awe...and your doodling is perfect.

I think you are too hard on yourself, Linda. The way you've used these colors are so dreamy! Lovely color combo. I like the splatters and white dots on the flowers' centers.

I love it! Such a brilliant design, super cool flowers and leaves, and the splatter is super too. You could breathe on some paper and it would be pretty! Hugz
