This is for yesterday's teaparty for Sandy, make a card that has movement (I used those wobble pop up thingies on the sun) and today's sketch.
Because the sun was so big, I had to make the card bigger. Yes the sun is not square but I didn't think that mattered. I had done many backgrounds for the TLC a few weeks ago and thought the sun would look neat made from one of those. I put a circle of gold mirror cs behind the center and added some Inca Gold to the rays. The sun/moon stamp in the background is an older wood mounted Club Scrap stamp, I used an embossing folder on the gold mirror (there are words like 'you are my sunshine' etc. on it and the 'Discover' strip is from an ATC. I had a little (well, it was big!) water issue in my kitchen and basement and some of my stuff got waterlogged a couple of weekends ago, including a whole bunch of ATCs from friends. I could save some of them.

What a fab moon and sun image. And an equally wonderful die. The stamp, though, reminds me of Georges Mélies "Trip to the Moon". The embossed gold script looks amazing. I bet this just shines in real life. I'm glad you can make some rescues from the water - I remember the time the window dripped onto my desk. For a time I was good at keeping that area clean, but if it happened again it wouldn't be so good.

This is just fabulous! I think wobble springs make everything better and I use them on everything I possibly can. Love your sun! Sorry to hear about your water issue! I had my basement flood ten years ago. That's when my gift wrapping room was in the basement. I sawed some of my favorite gift wrap rolls in half to save the dry end.

Oh wow, this fabulous/magical card made me smile immediately Jean. You sure know how to bring the sunshine with you, even when you are dealing with nasty water problems at home (sigh). I hope that is all fixed now? Your sun looks amazing and I love the background stamping you did. The embossed gold mirror paper is really elegant looking and ties in with the gold you added to the sun. I know Sandy will love this beautiful card you made for her Jean! ~Karen.
