For Polly's Hundert Who? MIXed media challenge.
I liked the lollipop trees. I also saw a line of beach huts in the first thumb and I'd quite like to run with them if I can find time and energy.
But last night I sprayed two coffee filters with the green and blue acrylic mists, and since I had no purple spray, I used Brusho powders for that one. I gessoed a piece of card and then embossed the Swirly Scribbles into it as a gesture towards curving lines. I used gelatos and a baby wipe to colour the background. This morning I cut some circles from the filters, layered them, added brads, scrunched them up and added them to the base after first spattering the foreground with a dark blue Inktense pencil. The leaves are cut from the coffee filter left from a coffee filter background with Brushos. I added some sequins to fill the spaces in a bit, with Stickles in the centre of each. With the purple in the sky I added a flight of birds, and then went for a sentiment that I thought worked. Edged the panel with a black Sharpie and stuck it onto the base. Ho hum, but I'm tired and that doesn't help anything.

I think this is a great piece of art. I love all the patterns and textures, the choice of colors and all the elements you used in this creation. Love that hand drawn border too.

I don't think this is ho hum at all, Sabrina! This is just gorgeous! I love your coffee filter flowers and that embossed section is fantastic too. The sentiment is excellent advice.
