Thank you, Jean, for bringing us a throughly art filled TeaPotter Challenge this month. I learned so much through your links and that Pinterest Board of yours...amazing! I was good, though, and didn't peak at it until my card was complete.
It took some time to develop this card. I really wanted to use a pot, vase, or other object of art. And I tried...but it just wasn't happening. Instead, I am giving you food for thought. And using two new~ish tools. The woman is a stencil from A Colorful Life. She was colored with VersaMagic 'Charcoal' and fussy cut. I stamped the sentiment and scar (Visible Image) on her back. The sentiment was embossed with Rangers 'Verdigris' and the scar with Stampendous Frantage 'Chunky Metallic Seasonings'. I used TH 'safety pins'. The flowers were fussy cut from a hoarded piece of Art Paper.
The background was stenciled with The Crafters Warehouse 'ART is' 6x6 with VersaMagic 'Turquoise Gem'.
'Art is just another way of expressing our innermost thoughts onto concrete media. Where form and function come together in beauty, color, and shape. We put our feelings and experiences onto paper, canvas, surfaces of all kinds. Allowing ourselves to release and surrender to this all encompassing force. This need to register what was today, what might be tomorrow. And what was yesterday and the day before that.' I love that. Just as the scars on our bodies and minds.
I'm seeing my scars in a new light, how about you?
Thank you for your comments! Gifts of encouragement we give each other.

A classic Susan card, thought-provoking and stimulating. You do have the most wonderful collection of stamps (Jean's heart card reminded me of one of yours) - and papers. The fussy-cut flowers are beautiful. Brilliant use of the little pins.
