It's my turn to host the WTUI challenge this week - and while it's not necessarily a Christmas challenge at all, this is what I ended up with . You'll be able to find the challenge HERE - and then you'll see why I made this particular card.
I use the TH die to cute my dress form from cream card, and created the dress mostly using Concord & Ninth's Take a Bough, though I did also add in a couple of different sprigs from a Sizzix set and a magazine freebie. I used red satin ribbon for a belt and narrower ribbon to tie the sash, adding in some eyelash fibre and a beaded spray I found in my stash. The shoulder straps are just very narrow strips of the breen.
Looking though my larger DP (the dress form is a big die) I came up with this old Basic Grey paper - I aged it up a bit more by stamping with Weathered in Vintage Photo. Stamped and embossed the sentiment in black. I used some wood DP for the floor, and then matted the piece onto matt silver and a brown base.
It still needed something to balance it - in the end I added this butterfly from my dwindling supply of pre-stamped and coloured ones, as the colours were good for Christmas. I added Stickels all round the wings, and some copper wire antennae.

Oh, I'd love to see this in person! It's fabulous! I took a refashion class a few years ago and this is very reminiscent of the alternative materials we used. Here's one of the instructor's creations she made from newspapers: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/435934438908332925/

LOVE your pine branch dress.....and your entire card, Sabrina. Your card does indeed look like a boutique Christmas window. ( Not the same thing, but years ago I was inspired by a shoe tree ornament shown in The Metropolitan Museum of Art's catalog that featured a high heel covered in holly leaves....decided to make a real pair of my own. Bought black satin heels and loads of velveteen holly leaves and went to work with a glue gun covering the entire pair of shoes. Had fun with them that holiday season)

Wow, Sabrina, what a fabulous card! I love the Christmas dress with the red sash/beading and the bg dp looks wonderful, especially with the weathered stamping on it!
