How wonderful when the Friday Challenges fall right together...thanks to Jeanne and Anna for both the No Stamps! Free for all and the Mixed Snowflakes Are Falling.
I dug out an old Gelli print background. I had used several shades of Dina Wakley's Mixed Media paint. The piece was sprayed with water and then run through the Big Shot with Tim Holtz Snowflakes EF. I used bleach and stippled around the paper. Then I stippled white acrylic at random. In simple words, I woman handled it!
The die cut snowflakes were cut after I embossed the paper with Rangers' Bridal embossing powder and PSX Silver Pearl. I arranged them in a random way. The Winter Wonderland was die cut three times for dimension. The mod looking flakes and the sentiment are from a Sizzix Courtney Chilson set. The others are from an unknown set of flakes.
I am linking to a children's book chronicles the life of Wilson Bentley, who is credited with being the first to capture ice crystals through the camera. Snowflake Bentley. I highly recommend adding it to your library for cozy reading times with those special littles in your life.
Thank you for stopping by. I know there are already friends who've been visited by the fluffy stuff. I know it can be a real pain in the . But just remember the excitement you felt as a child when you first saw the snow falling...for me, it's that quietness that warms my senses.
