I have never done this melted crayon art before. The only thing I've ever done was shave the crayons and melt with an iron, which is fun too.
I put a little gesso on the Bristol, glued the crayons at the top and melted with the heat gun. I chose blues, purple and greens. Trimmed off the leftover crayons, turned it upside down and it became seaweed. Sprayed it with a teal spray.
As a kid, my parents owned two places where former owners left seashells collected in Florida. We were fascinated with them, sorting them into types and colors. That is why I always liked this old SU set. I sprayed some wc paper with some Lyndy's moon spray and some copper Luminarte's spray. Added a touch of rose gold glitter.
I know most people have done this melted crayon art on a canvas. Is there a paper that is heavy enough to handle the heat? The Bristol warped pretty badly, the spray probably didn't help either.
