Oh, luscious, Chris!!! Your choice for the Color Challenge had me thinking of water again. And well, you know one thing leads to another. I am using red as my neutral.
Isn't this just the funniest girlfriend stamp? And what is better than girlfriends who love to STAMP? I inked up the whole image in Archival 'Watering Can' grey. Embossed the wooden boat. Colored the water with Costal Cabana hues in dots, and paper pieced the friends bathing suits in Bright Sunny Yellow.
The friends were fussy cut from the original stamped panel. I wanted them to be a bit dimensional in the boat. I stamped another boat for a tiny bit of bulk. A few staples to hold the panels to the heavy base.
And the best part...digging in my grandmothers button box for HEARTS. One metal with sparkle and one carved glass. While all our hearts work to keep us alive, our true hearts are always reaching out, searching for connection. And truly that is what keeps our physical hearts beating.
Thanks for your comments, they truly inspire me.
