This weeks site is any artists' dream, wouldn't you say? I got lost in there last night and have only just emerged. I LOVE way too many...whatevers...I want to use my scissors to make those shelf 'sitters'. I want to create an illustrative LETTER like Julie...another state of the STATE (yea, O) like Stacy, a beautiful pensive woman like Brenda, and of course a magical underwater scene that includes a narwal!!! What SPARK!!!! With the morning, I settled upon these these cats. I hope you can see the bones of my inspiration in the layout and color!
I've loved this Darice Embossing Folder for years...but I believe it's the first debut in my gallery. I dry embossed each lantern in random Basic Grey scraps and then fussy cut each one to be placed on top of my black panel. Some are in the embossed position and others 'debased'. I added a bit of Gold Perfect Pearls spray and used a silver pen to sketch in the wire.
The Thomas Fuller Quote seemed perfected today:
Friendships multiply joys and divide grief.
I added a bit of silver thread at the top of the tag.
I am so blessed to 'know', truly know my fellow artists. I have no doubt our joys are multiplied and our griefs that will come across our lives will be divided as such!
Thanks for hanging with me...always your comments inspire me. I'm off to meet a physical friend in our city's Rose Garden. It's World Wide Knit in Public Day. First stop...espresso take out! ...catch {u} out being creative!

Pretty ef that gives these lanterns their own personality, Susan. Love the sentiment, and I do agree with you that the people on SCS are truly virtual friends who stand with us in our pain or sorrow and cheer us on when life is good.
Not sure about the folk art, I just knew this stamp set I found looked like it~ Now go wrap your arms around to your back and you will feel a hug from me. ♥

I have this folder and your use of it blows my mind! So inventive and a whole lotta work! All appreciative. And you knit, too? Beautiful day for the gathering.
