I inked my stencil and turned it over on the paper to make my background. I did not realize the stencil was a wood texture until I looked it up online...after I made the card. There was no name on the stencil packaging.
I kind of think the background looks like a sky and ocean. Maybe it would have looked more like the pillow if I had used all dark blue ink. I rather like it this way just the same.
I added the flowers at the bottom and a sympathy sentiment.

Stamping with a stencil (especially if you spritz it first) can certainly alter our perception of what it was. I see sky and puffy clouds fading into some distant horizon.
BTW, I have that flower set - it's Inkadinkado's Meadow set.

Awesome sky, Brenda! I love that stencil. Super pretty card done all in blue. A lovely sympathy card. I actually started to do that same picture - I love how that seating arrangement looks. Many hugz.
