This is my sample for CC715. I am your hostess this week and I have chosen tranquil tide, lemon-lime twist and gold for my color trio. Dessert Option this week is to use enamel dots or Nuvo drops. Either one makes a nice accent on cards.
For my card, I used the Stampinâ-Up âstar of lightâ set and created a Christmas card with non-traditional colors. I stamped the star trails in tranquil tide ink. Randomly stamped some larger stars from this same set and die cut a few other stars in tranquil tide cardstock using the starlight thinlits. Itâs the companion die to this stamp set.
The largest star image is die cut in both tranquil tide and lemon-lime twist. I layered that over a gold swirly circle. This die is from the CottageCutz âRing in the New Yearâ set. I thought with the stars on the circle it makes a great background for the main star.
To get my dessert in on this card- I added a metallic star enamel dot to the center of the large star image.
Well, thatâs my card for this week. Hope you can play along with us and maybe even create a Christmas card using some non-traditional colors.

I love the swirls behind your star, Mary. So beautiful and creative! Great colors choices today too, even though I was a bit intimated. Your card rocks!
