This is the card I made to send as my Tickle card for Anita's Let's Take A Book! Tickle a Teapotter challenge this week.
I just loved Anita's tutorial and made two cards with it...but for a more mailable option that still kept with the book theme, I used the Pop-up Book Card tutorial. The cover is brown card. For the inside I used some 12x12 DP that is a good weight. I like to use one of the stamps from Gorgeous Grunge to add the look of pages to the two little side pieces, and I stamped Flowering Flourishes in gold on the rest. For the pages, I covered a dictionary page with gesso and trimmed it into two panels to fit the open book. When it was dry, I stamped the coneflower and prickles on one piece, and the sentiment and another Art Journey stamp on the other piece. Coloured them with pencils and added lots of SN clear glitter. The butterfly was stamped with brown ink and embossed with clear ep on watercolour paper. Then I painted it with re-inkers, added more SN clear glitter pen, and edged it with a black Sharpie after cutting out.

Love the fancy fold you selected. Does resemble a book. Such pretty details, too.
