Shabby Chic, collage, vintage are all styles I love to see, although I struggle creating them. I procrastinated doing this card; however, I really wanted to make something for Karen. She's so sweet & talented and is my birthday buddy. She reached out to me when my father passed away last November. To help make my card, I used a combination of challenges to bring it all together. I could not list them all in my title!
Challenges:
Teapotters - Shabby Chic - sympathy card for Karen
Sketch Challenge - a second one for my sketch
Free 4 All - make it girly
Alphabet Challenge - Letter L - linen color, layers, lace
The paper is from a friend who wanted to use up her stash; I don't know who makes this one. It looks very girly and shabby chic. I roughed up all the edges with a distressing tool and sponged them with Crumb Cake. Followed the sketch using the tag in place of the heart. Thank you Kandie for the tag! I stamped on it and punched the bottom edge. Put mulberry paper and lace under the tag and popped it up. Looks pretty girly to me. I hope Karen likes it. Thanks for looking!

CAS in feel, and still beautifully shabby chic. Those papers are beautiful, and putting them on a kraft base adds real softness. The sentiment is great, too. I was sort of glad that as I had already sent a sympathy card I didn't have to try to work that extra design element into mine.

Oh Diane, what a gorgeous shabby chic card this is! You do feminine so well my friend and I absolutely love that! This flowery dsp is stunning and oh-so-girly indeed. I love all the sponging and embossing you did to your slightly off-set panels. This gorgeous tag with delicate crochet trim is really a showstopper my friend, and those fabulous pearls are the perfect finishing touch on this stunning shabby chic card. Thank you Diane- this is so kind and thoughtful of you to do, and truly appreciated too. Happy Mother's Day my friend! ~Karen.
