Julie has chosen a fabulous site to inspire us for IC626 this week!
I found THIS adorable CAS card and I knew right off which stamp I wanted to use!
I love this sentiment: Life is about the small stuff. Sometimes the small things can be huge!!
Today started out like all of our school days. Elisabeth and I interacting in the morning, making coffee, driving to school. I dropped her off and all was well. Then I went to make my left-hand turn just yards after I turned at the stoplight. The next thing I knew my back window was blown out by the school bus that forgot to stop! I did go into a bit of shock. I couldn't figure out how to call the police. I did manage to call my friend and cancel our Birthday Month Lunch and eventually I figured out how to call my husband!
I am thankful tonight for small things! I am thankful for my friend who met me at the ER and stayed with me until my husband made the hour drive from work. I am thankful my daughter wasn't driving! A brand new driver doesn't need to be rear-ended! A friend brought us supper. That small act of kindness was huge. Life is about the small stuff! The little kindnesses that become huge! With this card I am celebrating the small stuff!
There is nothing small about saying farewell to our amazing Audrie. She has offered us fabulous inspiration week after week. She will be dearly missed. Thank you so much, Audrie, for all you have done over the years!
And now I am off to take my meds and rest. I hope to see your beautiful creations tomorrow!

Angela, oh no! Surviving being hit by a bus is monumental and is definitely a God thing. Wow. So sweet of your friends - you have good friends! I have been in two wrecks and the same thing happened to me - couldn't even really remember my name or how to call anyone. It is super scary and something you never forget. So glad for all the small and big miracles in your day. Hope the soreness goes away soon. Your card is a perfect representation of your day and how we should all feel every day. Precious and sweet, my friend. Thanks for sharing your story. Hugz

I am so glad that you are OK! That would be so scary to get hit by a bus or to see a bus coming at you in your rearview mirror! I will keep you in my prayers so that you do not have any pain from this accident. I absolutely love your card! And Congrats on becoming part of the IC team!

This is perfect, Angie! Yes..the small things can really add up. So thankful you were not seriously injured. Your sweet little tree reminds me of Charlie Brown's tree.
