A big Congrats to Jeanette, the newest Featured Stamper. I spent oodles of time in her big, beautiful gallery & finally narrowed it down to THIS card. I kept the Christmas poinsettias & most of the layout, but I used different images, different colors & left off a few of the layers.
I made a watercolor bg using Brushos then used my Misti to stamp the poinsettias. I trimmed away most of the bg around the left side of the image in order to have more of the citron green show. A dk green layer was added behind the poinsettia & also behind the citron layer.
Congrats again, Jeanette! Thanks so much for looking. I also have a little mini tutorial w/ more pics & details on this card on my blog: The Write Stuff

Julie, it probably seems boring for me to yet again tell you how fantastic your coloring is. The touches of green you added to the poinsettia petals is so perfect and makes them look so real. This is absolutely stunning.

Julie, this is absolutely gorgeous. Although non traditional colors can be fun sometime, it is always the red and green I love the best.

Stunning! The textured edges of your mats look stunning! The lights and darks of the green are paired perfectly to create a background for the beautifully colored poinsettias.

Julie, this is gorgeous, and I love the watery feel to the poinsettia. It's so interesting to see poinsettias and how varied their leaves are, especially as we watch them grow here in South Florida where they are natives. Love your inspiration from Jeanette's card too, and I love the diagonal stitched die! Hugs!

What fantastic and realistic coloring on your poinsettias! The panel under them and the brighter greens really make them stand out to show of their beauty!
