With all the busyness in my life, I just had to make some time to play in this week's CAS challenge...summertime! I hope this fits with the "hot, hot, hot" theme as these colors are not my "go-to" colors...way too bright! Haha! This digital image is actually Australian Wattle, but Marcella encouraged us to use it with whatever colors we wanted. Soooo, I thought they would make some fiery-looking little fuzz balls! And I used a brighter green for the leaves. The sentiment is from another digital set, and it works for June's Dirty Dozen theme, "Sunrise, Sunset." This is just one of two cards I'll make to send to a couple of friends who are dealing with some hard things in life. I love seeing sunsets and thinking of the promise of a new day...and as another day ends, the sunset is beautiful and hopefully brings peace. I'm so thankful for God's promise to always care for us...through the good times and the hard times. That's real peace for me.
Thanks so much for taking a closer look at my bright card! I've hesitated to upload it, but it's done...and it's fun to get out of our comfort zones, right? Ha! Have a beautiful rest of the week...and keep COOL! Hugs!

A work of art.......beautifully done. Love it!
(Not much stamping going on around my neck of the woods with a 22 month old granddaughter here for a month. Having a ball with her!)
Hugs to you Cheryl. Keep those beauties (cards) coming.

Cheryl, an awesome image and sentiment. You colored up the image beautifully. The BEST part is that you are sending this to a friend who really needs it. I agree with your thoughts on sunrises and the promise they hold. I read a book one time about some pueblo Indians who took some ground meal to their door every sunrise and blew it to show thanks for a new and precious day - we should all do something more like this every morning. Sorry for my babbling.... many hugz
