One more for the May Flowers Challenge. I just bought this stamp set on Ebay and I wanted to give it a try. I found myself wishing that I had two Stamp-a-ma-jigs for this set, because I started by stamping the flower, then I had to figure out where to put the bulb to make the stem and leaves fit in perfectly. Well, it worked out with just the one Stamp-a-ma-jig. I added in the horizon with black gel pen and colored with Spectrum Noirs. Then I did a quick watercolor wash using Spectrum Aqua Chestnut and Fawn markers. Finally, I stamped my sentiment using the Memento ink, but I had meant to emboss it, so I restamped with Versa Mark (thank you Precision Press) and clear embossed the sentiment. Here's my happy accident: I tried to glue the panel down on black paper, but it stuck crooked and there wasn't really any black showing on the bottom. So I just cut all the black off or rather most of the black. I really like the very subtle black border that resulted from my mistake!
