I am your hostess this week and I have chosen melon mambo, daffodil delight, cucumber crush, pool party and for dessert: spring! I had some color issues on this one!!! First of all, when I stamped my flower with pool party there must have been some residual mambo left on the stamp because it turned out more blue than pool! Secondly, I had made my first card a while ago, and was making this one just from my memory of the colors and accidentally grabbed the emerald envy - OOPS!!
Just as on my other card, to create the 2 layers of color on these flowers and leaves I used my blender tool to dab ink on to the stamp for the first layer (making it lighter) and then stamped full strength for the second layer. I find that easier to control than "stamping off" first. Did some masking of both leaves and flowers to create depth. Stamped sentiment, die cut panel with stitched die and then scalloped stitch die, assembled all, and added ribbon and sparkly sequins. I thought this would make a pretty spring wedding card!

Well, it's nice to know you're human Maura and make mistakes too. I think your card turned out gorgeous!! I love the tulips!! It seems like our were not around that long - or at least mine. Between the bunnies and the storms they just didn't stick around. I love your white panel on the white panel. The stitching is great!! Thanks for the lovely colors today.

What a great job you did layering the inks for these tulips and leaves!
