For today's mixed-ability challenge, the title is Twisted Black Magic, and the technique is the Joseph Coat system of coloring card stock, embossing an image with clear, applying solid black ink over it all, and rubbing away the black on the embossed areas to show the color underneath. Well. Mine didn't turn out exactly like that. Following a tutorial I saw on Pinterest I used glossy card stock, and when I rubbed the black, it came off the cs as well as the embossed areas. But, I thought it was kind of interesting anyway, so I ran with it! I added twine through a large red button, glued a book page to cs and then die cut a bird from it and edged in vintage photo ink, edged the vanilla cs as well, and mounted both the top mat and the bird on dimensionals. I may have to try doing the technique wrong again and see what other bgs develop! TFL!
