I coloured this image a few weeks back and it has been sitting around my desk ever since waiting to finish off. Inspired by Karen and Sallie using drywall tape for stencilling on their cards for the WT challenge this week, I dug out my tape and finished this off into a card last night. The image had been stamped on Bristol Board with Versafine Black and coloured with pencils for a colour therapy session ;-). I used two colours of ink and gently stencilled the background to fill in all the white space, then stamped the sentiment. I chose this verse because I think poppy petals are so delicate and fragile, they seemed to work well together. Then I stitched all round the edge using buttonhole thread for extra definition - it's thicker than regular thread. Sponged the base with distress stain and then thought I should sponge the edges of the image panel lightly with matching green. It was still missing something, so I added a blue butterfly to finish it off.

Oh, Sabrina, this is GORGEOUS! I agree that the stitching really caught my eye...along with this precious Scripture verse! It's a dear one to me and one that I need to use again. What a beautiful piece of art that had been transforming over time as "this and that" was being colored and added...much like God does with us...working all things for our good...in His time and for His glory. Hugs and love, precious friend! xoxo
