Would you believe this cutie is pretty much all leftovers? Only the card base was freshly cut. The DSP for the "grass" was in my scrap box, the panda, letter and mailbox were leftover from a play session right after I got some Mama Elephant sets and the bird and flower wagon was leftover from my color practice I did over the weekend getting prepped for my last Easter card.
Some deets:
My friend, Lisa, gifted me some dies from A Jillian Vance (thanks, Lisa!) so I used one of the stitched hill dies and a scrap of DSP to make my "grass" and provide some grounding for my little scene.
I cut off the wagon pull as I thought it worked better without it.
The bird and mailbox are adhered directly to my focal panel. The love letter is adhered directly to the mailbox. I put foam tape under both the bear and the flower wagon to add some dimension.
The HELLO is from a Tim Holtz crazy birds set I picked up at Michael's some time ago.
What a fun way to use up some bits and pieces that I had lying around. This will go into my Happy Mail stash for the nursing home. I'll be making a 4.25" square version soon for one of the church shut-ins - about the same, but I may try a square in/out stitched die around the focal panel to give it a more finished edge to go with the wider frame. Not sure what other tweaks I might make.
TFL!
