This is my first attempt with color burst. I'll say I wasn't impressed. I sure it's me but this card gave me fits. The color kept fading and looking washed out. The image didn't stamp well on my water color paper even with embossing and using the Misti. I was just so disappointed in these cards I wanted to cry. I was going to do all 100 of my cards with this technique but only completed 26.
Thanks for looking.

Tonda, this is beautiful. The golden hues are lovely and your colors blend together nicely. If you're disappointed, you must have had a really spectacular, out of this world card planned ;)

Tonda, this beautiful scene of the wise men and town of Bethlehem is an awesome card! You did great with the color burst technique, Tonda. I cannot see any issues with it, and you know we are our worst critics! Great job with your first time using the technique! I have yet to try it, so you're braver than me!

Well, it may not have met your expectations but I think it's lovely - sometimes another person's eye helps you to see things differently! The stitching is a great detail!

The colors are wonderful behind your wise men silhouettes. It's beautiful! There are two things I do to get better color with Brushos. Try covering your paper with a thin coat of gesso and let it dry fully before adding the brushos. The second thing I do sometimes is mix a little Diamond Glaze with water so it's nice and thin and spread it over the dried Brushos (I use my finger) - leaves a bit of shine.
