Barbara is our hostess this week and she has chosen: cherry cobbler, mossy meadow, pool party, and for dessert: snow.
Once again, I used the technique that Jill Foster demonstrates on the Penny Black blog - for my background this time (Tranquil stamp). On my card front, I stamped the image with the MISTI multiple times, adding ink a section at a time and adding layers of ink until satisfied with the image. I also added an additional tree on the right (from the Prancer set). For my red color, I stamped a couple of birds from a PTI set. Then, without moving the original stamp, I stamped again with versamark and clear embossing powder, and heat set. This preserves the image and allowed me to sponge the bg with Pool Party (after I masked for the moon). Next, I splattered with diluted acrylic white paint (for a snowy look). Die cut the front panel with my new die and popped up with dimensionals.
Nicely done!! Love the background you achieved and having that die cut over it makes a beautiful card! Thank you so much for sharing your project and creativity at 613 Ave C!
