...so I sat down to create place settings for a fall or Thanksgiving table setting. I was able to use the ovals for stamping with markers and water, then I used stamps and my calligraphy pen to write on top of the ovals after they dried. Next I created the place cards by folding cardstock in half and using the Spellbinders dies with the partial die cutting technique (so that I could cut once to make a small note size card). I mounted my favorite die cut shape from the Radiant Rectangles die set, and then adhered the ovals on top of that, to create the base cards for my place setting. It worked out really well and they stand up nicely in front of a table setting! What fun!
Although my card bases are way smaller than hers, in this video Christina is doing something very similar to what I did cutting through the folded edge of the cardstock to make the bases:
Come and join us this week and create something deeply inspired of your very own!

Audrie

Beautifully ornate! I love the die combos and muted colors you chose, so perfect for your lovely watercolor look design! The die cuts and colors remind me of bisque porcelain. Gorgeous!!

What treasures for each guest to take home, Audrie. I can only imagine how lovely your table is going to be. The watercolored leaves are exquisitely done.

Beautiful place cards Audrie... The first thing I did was rummage through my spellbinders to see if I have this set.... I don't use them to often but it seems I missed getting this set.... This is how products are sold.... lol. I miss you as well and whenever I get the opportunity on Sat mornings to create, I head right here.... Hugs from TN
