I just had to wait to do Lee's challenge of snowy leaves until I had white embossing powder. I'm very thankful for the Falliday Fest challenges for making me finally go out and get embossing powder. It had been on my wish list for a long time and now I can't stop playing with it.
The Inspiration Challenge today is Dieline Packaging and while scrolling through I came across this "Design Nugget" Trivia write up: http://www.thedieline.com/blog/2016/...ign-nugget-100
It's about Tootsie Pop wrappers. I've always loved the look of Tootsie Pop wrappers and especially finding the Indian with the star, which is what this article was about.
So my card is inspired by the blue Tootsie Pop wrapper, complete with a star. The snowy winter leaves and the bright winter star was originally going to be a Christmas card, but it just said Sympathy to me, so the inside has the "Eskimo saying": Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down and let us know they are happy." I'm very happy with this card.

I love embossing powder too! (although I don't pull it out enough) I really LOVE how you interpreted the color palette of your inspiration packaging! Beautiful design!
