I knew just as I read your commentary, I wanted to give the Tim Holtz leaves a go. I didn't use tape as they were so small, but the actual dies cuts themselves. I carefully laid them onto the watercolor paper and then spritzed water over the whole paper. The Brushos were sprinkled next with the powders 'doin' their magic. I wasn't quite sure I was gonna like it. So I flipped the watercolor paper over and went after it again...practice makes perfect, as they say.
But in the end, I decided to use the first one. The Dawn Houser Inkadinkadoo Emily Bronte quote was stamped and embossed with clear. To keep the dark quote from being lost, I sewed the tiny vintage orange buttons to draw the eye. Left a bit of the thread to accentuate the FLUTTERing...
