I had a major fail with Kia's lovely CAS challenge, to use something "falling". The only thing I was able to salvage was this green feather! Needless to say with the northern lights background and very busy ballgown, this is NOT going in the CAS challenge LOL.
My new favourite stamp is this beautiful ballerina image by Gabrielle Pollacco. I hope you aren't tired of her yet. Depending on how you colour and the stroke lengths, this stamp is really versatile considering its simplicity.
I started with a piece of cardstock approx 6"x 8", placing the stamp in the middle. I then did long swishes with Distress crayons & Gelatos and blend in a downward direction with my finger then very, very gently use a baby wipe following the exact direction of the crayon swishes.
Copics and Spectrum Noir markers are terrific over the top of caryons, they react very differently over the waxy surface. The dark green swishes at her waist line were done with navy blue alcohol markers. They come out looking a fabulous dark green.
I fussy cut around the body and upper part of gown before positioning her against the sky. Once she looked right I then trimmed the entire panel to 5"x 7".
Thanks so much for looking.
EDIT: The photo here looks like I have used a paint brush to get the feathered effect near the bottom of her skirt, but it is the baby wipe that magically does this.

How can we get tired of an image when you turn it into a different masterpiece each time you use it? Her dress is amazing. If I touched anything with a baby wipe it would look like mud. She looks fantastic staring out at that lovely sky.

Tired of this gorgeous ballerina stamp??? Not possible when you produce this splendid art with it!! I LOVE the image and bottom section of her dress that is remarkable with the greens and blues!! That feather is the topper for the dress!! And the sky, wow! Remarkable!! Such a talented lady you are sweet Susie!!
OH, my goodness, Susie! This piece of art should be hanging in an art museum. I just don't know how you accomplish such artwork with a baby wipe and your finger! She is beautiful against the northern lights.

Another stunner. Just love the skirt and also how in the gallery view she slightly merges into the wonderful sky - gives it a "must check this out" quality. Susie you make me want to craft and yet I have to empty cupboards and pack stuff ready for builders on Monday!

Oh, sis! Who could EVER tire of seeing this beauty? No one! This is absolutely and completely STUNNING, and the colors are amazing and gorgeous, sis! I love the strokes of color in her flowing dress, and it looks like beautiful fabric that I remember back "in the day" when elegant dress for proms and weddings were worn. And the feather is beautiful. Wow, the sky is amazing, and you are so talented and clearly have such fun. LOVE it!! And, well, you know that I love YOU!! Hugs! xoxo

I almost missed this incredible piece of art! HOLY SMOKES! What you do with your fingers and various media is just amazing! The flow of the gown is fabulous and has such a feathery feel to it. The northern lights, PERFECT! Love the way you work with color, a talent we all wish we had! Just WOW!
