You'll have to check out Lisa's challenge HERE to see why I created this card for it.
Ever since I got a knitting-themed stamp set at Christmas (thank you, Lorraine!), I knew that I wanted to use the yarn stamp with this phone box image, and Lisa's challenge provided the perfect opportunity. I stamped the yarn several times to create a background, and then added my hedgie calling home. The mouse is part of the same image, usually he stands just beside the box looking in, but I punched him separately and sponged a countryside setting into the circle, so that it gives the idea of the hedgie calling a country friend from the town.
I thought the SU word die picked up well on those coiled cords and the yarn, so I added that inside.

I can see why you wanted to use the yarn stamp as a background for a telephone card -- it looks just like a phone cord! Such a cute card -- gotta love those hedgies!

Love your old fashioned "Irish" phone box...with cellphones, I imagine they have all but disappeared. Your called it "yarn", but it could be coiled phone cord too....which would be perfect with your theme. A sweet and darling card, Sabrina.
