I did my flower pounding with the help of my cuttlebug. I folded a piece of wax paper and placed my card stock between the layers. Because marigolds are a very thick flower, instead of simply using the entire flower, I pulled off the petals, i.e., he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me... and set them randomly on my card stock. It was interesting to see that those face down left deep color where the petal lay, and those face up left a negative impression with the color surrounding the area where the petal lay. The picture shows the color of the flowers I started with. The lower piece was done with just flower petals and the top background was just the yellow flower centers spread randomly over the card stock. I used plates A, B & C to run this through my machine.
I stamped the sunflowers directly on the background & added color with a blender pen and ink pads.

You found just the right pressure for these marigold petals! Interesting how different the petals impression is from the flower center impression! Your card does indeed, as mentioned by Sabrina, look like a Van Gogh!

Oh, Melody, what a beautiful card, and I love the idea of how you've used the petals from the marigold. They are a sturdy flower! But wow, this is beautiful with a fabulous layout! Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo
