*editing picture, still a grey day in the PNW. And editing to add a pic of this beauty's big sis fudging the truth. I am a sucker for collections, are you?
Vicki, you selected a simply gorgeous color combination for this weeks challenge. So very serene. I came as close as I could and added the dessert option: dots.
Can't you just image this young woman dressed and ready for an afternoon of shopping and tea on Park Avenue? She's beautiful, elegant, and pampered. Probably spoiled rotten growing up! I colored her with Copics, fussy cut the big bow on her hat and the pooch. added another layer and popped up for dimension. She is standing in front of some serious dots (I heard the trend for Spring is polka dots). I added Black Diamond tickles for her jewelry. The oval mirrors her chapeau with encouraging words.
The Tim Holtz small talk: darling, you are a work of art.
I love the word darling. My Mom has always ended her conversations with me by saying darling, I love you...and it has always made me smile and feel that mothers' love. Words stick. And no matter how old we both get, I'll always yearn to hear her say that.
Thanks for stopping by, do you have any special words that make your heart sing?

What a wonderful story about your mom. Your card looks 3-D to me. She looks like she just got out of her limo.

PErfect words to add! Aren't we all works of art (some more Op Art than others!)? She looks as pampered as her pooch. Love how you iincorporated the dots and ovals into the theme. Creative, as always.

She's just fabulous, Susan and so is your artwork! I'm always amazed when I see your eclectic designs! You presented your fashionable lady in a wonderful way, embellishing and fussy cutting! I always love seeing your cards.

WOW wish I could pull off her look! What a fashionista! And those are some serious dots....seriously perfect for this card!! Love this Susan!
I have many voicemail messages saved from my nephews and I love to replay them...some of them are a few years old..my favorite right now is one that says this: "This is Finn...Umm. Can you come play at my house today? You have to come real quickly...Thank you. Bye..." All those sweet messages make me smile every time! :p

Beautiful card! I love the fancy lady, and especially the double layers on the hat and dog. I can't say there's any particular phrase that makes my heart happy, but the sound of my daughter's voice does it every time. She's been far, far away, and comes home this Thursday, on my birthday. Seeing her will be the best birthday gift ever!
