Well, these stars are certainly getting a lot of show time, lol. But with a celestial challenge, it seems the way to go. I couldn't pass up this challenge in honor of a solar eclipse...I was born during a total solar eclipse & I've always loved astronomy.
For this starry card, I used the Wrinkle Free Distress tech on the colorful panel, which is actually a large manila tag. I used the Distress inks one at a time and let the colors dry in between so they wouldn't get muddy. When I finished, I used one of the smaller Double Stitched Rectangles to cut it then I die cut the star shapes & added the white outline stars inside the openings.
Behind the star openings, I added a lime green star w/ the star outline gold embossed & the gold embossed greeting on vellum behind the largest star.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Ahem...so the total eclipse was your fault, huh??? LOL. Wonderful use of the positive and negative stitched stars. Love the water color bg!

How cool that you were born during a solar eclipse! What a fab card to show your love of astronomy....the wrinkle free distress is a wonderful look for your inlaid stars. Super card!!
