Ally, your sketch is food for thought! And today I am thinking about beets. Its' been said beets grew in the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. They probably take a bit of getting used to, but with the many ways of enjoying the beautiful vegetable now, don't waste any time...
I have my sweet neighbor to blame for this card. She dropped off some of my arty supplies last night and just happened to include a Pier 1 Spring catalog. One of the pages was a table laid out with these gorgeous vegetables and interesting plates. I simply couldn't resist setting my table with the sketch. The carrots were fussy cut and embossed several times. I also embossed the radishes to make them shine and stand
up. The Basic Grey 'Herbs and Honey' paper had the perfect accompanying patterns.
In my WanderLust challenge this week, Joanne Sharpe author and artist of 'The Whimsical Art of Lettering' instructed us in taking your very own handwriting and creating Artful lettering. Well, I really like my handwriting...until I have to write something that is highly visible (like this!) Anyway, I am putting it out there and asking: 'where's the beets in the Pier 1 catalog...aren't they pretty enough for the table? I am also learning to doodle...
Can't wait to see all the lovely cards created for this sketch challenge. Thanks for you comments. Smile.

Ha, Susan, I do love where your artistic and creative mind takes you - I could use all these vegetables for a salad tonight - it is going to be 42oC here!! Your handwritten sentiment looks wonderful! BTW, can you please explain to an Aussie - what are beets? Do you mean beetroots?
